please do not blast me (although if you feel i deserve it go ahead, no hard feelings), for i am new to the intc thread and only recently purchased intc, so have not followed the thread. i realize amd and cyrix (nsm) are the competition to intc hegemony. but mcdonalds does not worry about subway or boston chicken. why not? microsoft does not worry about apple or unix on the desktop. why not? but the intc thread appears to overly worry about amd and cyrix. i do not understand what appears to me be overly concern about amd and cyrix, they have better reasons to worry. my question is, do we really have this phobia of amd and cyrix, or is it more a enjoyable debate between the camps? similar to being polite to macophites who continue to believe apple will one day rule the desktop over wintel? thank you, but i have not figured out yet if the tone is condescending or serious towards those who tout amd and cyrix. i have a message into amd about the fab 25 testing, i will let you know what they tell me.
