Just a word of caution for the longs on this stock. The word i'm getting is that Morgan Stanley Dean Witter, had purposely kept Mary Meeker from covering YHOO, waiting for the day when the institutions and insiders were ready to liquidate. The plan was to initiate with a positive rating, while the other institutions helped themselves with upgrades of the stock, all to give a reason to gap the price up, and force the numerous shorts to buy
most if not all of their stock while covering. Morgan will sell on behalf of some of the institutions and more notably, for the insiders. The cenario will continue next week, however this time they may just unload liberally with no regard. Since very few shorts needing to cover remain, they may just dump the stock in the open market. This may send the stock price spiraling. i hear the big day is wednesday. Good luck.
