Minor point: Voice can be mapped directly on to native frame relay or ATM, without any use of IP. In fact, we happen to be doing that now, over our international lines. Many ATM networks will likely be used to transport a lot of non-IP data. True. But voice over frame seems to be a niche market that doesn't scale well for toll quality. Voice over ATM is still being defined and won't take off till we have a universal standard that works well. And ATM networks are transporting a heck of a lot of non-IP data today. But IP still rules overall.
