Add to your last line the unintended consequence that the shorts' "valiant efforts" have fed the fire in low-float story stocks like AMZN (100% of the float short), YHOO (60%) and many others with short interest ranging from 20 - 50%. If the Internet longs are REALLY smart, they will sell near the top then short whatever they can when the tide inevitably turns. The best traders will come out 100% ahead of both the longs and the shorts on this thread. I haven't played this tide either way. I'll be happy to settle for a few crumbs before we move on to the next "hot" sector.
