Menace,I would dare say with the reduction in volitility and volume, it will take some significant news to create a friendly environment for all of the shorts to cover their positions! Remember the good old days when an exciting day of Pyng trading was 5000 shares? As consolidations mature and the stock price levels at a price which seems fair to both bulls and bears,[ and it seems below 5.00 brings buyers and above 5.00 brings sellers or shorts]the volume will dry up. This will make it a difficult market to cover your stock if friendly news is released! There won't be enough stock at this price level to cover 180,000 shares without a rather sharp move upward in prices. Hence the short squeeze!
