"Wireless Technologies, Special Report" .... Scientific American, April 1998 issue, has a special section on wireless technologies. It's a good summary of what's happening now and near-future, including satellites systems (you can see what Iridium and Teledesic are just part of). CDMA is discussed. Futuristic predictions are also given. It is a good overall discussion of the industry - technical depth is low to moderate. Al G., this article was placed with you in mind. See the first page.
