If you don't mind, read posts #3969 through #3974 on Yahoo Vivus (to much to copy)and give me your insightful opinion on the numbers/percentages provided to guestimate future MUSE sales. As you pointed out earlier, unit sales will now matter most. I think Viagra will hurt MUSE sales over the next quarter or two but after that I feel that the Pfizer PR will help increase sales over current levels.

In retrospect we can all say that the direct to consumer advertising did not appear to be worth the money spent. On the other hand, and in all fairness to management, what would everybody be saying if they had not advertised at all and the numbers were lower rather than flat?
I think most would be complaining that since management did not advertise they stink.

For what it is worth, I was told by Nina at vivus that the advertising research expected the best results to show up in May.
Now the question is, if that is the case since Pfizer will be running at full steam in May won't this probably be the worse month for MUSE in regards to competition from Viagra?

Perhaps Vivus management really not as dumb as first impressions may indicate. Perhaps Vivus management realized that Viagra would be out in full force in May and it would adversely effect MUSE sales in this particular month. Perhaps then, the timing of the advertising ie February through March was planned so that the May sales impact on MUSE would not be as severe than if no advertising occured. What do you think?
