*MEG Morsel Alert*

John Auston is a fluid public speaker, making the listening job all the more enjoyable. Wednesday morn. JA offered some small answers to lingering questions. Auston commented as follows.

WRT G10 garnets-- They have been found present in AB diamondiferous kimberlite samples, and they have not. There has been no measured correlation to diamond content. This does not support the argued (by some) application of G-10's as indicators, as has been supported in the NWT geochemistry by Fipke et al. The presence of G-10's does not, neither positively or negatively, correlate with BHT diamond occurrence, according to ACA's data collected thus far.
Importantly, Auston announced that chromites serve as signatures.
Take that information to the bank!

Auston also commented on the used 0.8mm cutoff:
It is used to understand distribution of stone size, not to establish grade at this early point.

more to come!
