Dear Heart, could we for one more minute here discuss my beloved Peter and John. Had you ever really seen that side of scripture before? I have heard 1000 sermons of the spirit filled--nay 10,000, add some TV, what, 20,000? Never once had I heard it spoken. I only heard of "Peter, the boaster, always PUTTING HIS BIG FOOT IN HIS MOUTH--HAVE YOU EVER DONE THAT?" (followed by pause, waiting for agreeable laughter from the congregation which no longer has a clue as to where to clap and where to shut up, often times, and are more interested in looking like they're having a good time.) That is the sermon which usually goes on to PETER THE COWARD, WHO DENIED CHRIST. Anyway, I believe I'll reserve my hindsight judgment on that. If he was so afraid for his own skin he would have been puffing and clawing his way up the hills outside the city by then. And as for John, twice or three times I have had to suffer the sermon on John--BELOVED JOHN FOR PETE'S SAKE, OF ALL PEOPLE--demanding that Jesus crown John Big Shot Of Heaven right before Jesus' impending death. I went into a big long study of the Greek from the Strongs' concordance on that. It is long, long buried in this thread somewhere, and I don't even have the energy to pull it ou. Not a single comment came back, as no one read it. I just got a volley of horrible comments about how I was a satanic Talmudist, instead, based on all statements made about God the Father of Jesus. HE TOO is so far buried anymore to even mention Him appears to remind the off balance of blasphemy against Jesus Christ, the only god. The problem is neither Jesus Christ before or after His death and resurrection ever did a single thing except point all men at all times to His Father in Heaven. It works for me. The Body of Christ can get very crazy. The image of Jesus Christ is so badly besmudged in the mirror it is like cleaning an antique. Mostly Jesus has become Paul, and the real Jesus is dismissed as a guy that didn't happen, EVEN BY THE BRETHREN. Over and over I have read or reprinted to someone the exact words of the Bible, per the Greek meaning exactly, and people will tell me that's not what Jesus really meant. And proceed to tell me what He did mean. So, where my Lord is concerned, remember the Rambo movie. Where Rambo says "from now on I only trust you" to the Colonel? The Holy Spirit keeps refreshing my mind about that. The Holy Spirit is my Colonel, the Bible are my orders. From what I have seen here in 5 months, I could NOT have stayed with the Lord this long unless my early experience had been to complete and impossible to forget or explain away. Never, never, never, never get Jesus from people. Get Jesus Christ from Jesus Christ, period. And never, never, never listen to a word that does not match up with every single word of scripture you can find on the subject. From now on I believe the Bible is more important than at any other period in history. It is the only way through the mine field of the new end time Jesus created mostly by satan, as Shalom can atest, and wish he would begin to teach on this from factual current events around us. About four years ago I wondered if it was time to start burying a couple of very well-wrapped old Bibles at various places for indefinite future needs. That's how important it is, and it may well be that the New Age government which we see taking shape in Bill and Hill will sign executive orders of some sort banning quoting scripture in public as it will be used as a form of verbal hate against the Sinner/Homo. That will be for starters. Whatever is coming, it won't be any better for me than it is for the songbirds and the manatees. So, I am afraid it will also not be much better for you and others here. If no one is that fanatic, I am. Even moreso. SI is a mirror of the world. So. Draw your own conclusions lining everything up about where we are in prophetic history, and how close we are to the whole enchalada, as they say. The only good thing about all of this is that once again it is totally slicing my soul from my spirit and causing me to drift once again as far out of the World as I can possibly drift in this flesh. :) The nice thing about SI is you can always follow the Yellow Brick Road to far, far better places. I hope some that don't even exist right now.
