Hi GG: First of all., the dyke is lying flat or tipped 10 to 12 degrees off horizontal. The dyke has a vertical average depth of 2.5meters. The back pack drilling last summer identified the dyke area as an area contained in initially the 600m x800 m area., seeing the dyke system is shallow., the auguer drilling could penetrate the then defined area to support those numbers. The dyke was then extended to 1000meters in lenght and the width was identified at 500meters., the direction is still open to the North and South and East. Winspear if you recall., drilled some holes first thing in the Winter program., and the last release indicated the dyke had been extended by 200 meters to 1000 meters. The Drill hole 400 meters to the NE of the furtherest Northerly hole stepped out 400 meters., and intersected the dyke at the anticipated depth. This means they moved the drill out 400 meters to intersected kimberlite more than likely at the anticipated dip., deeper contact due to the slightly dip of the deposit. Even stepping out at a 10 to 12 degree orientation., I would suspect that hole was not drilled very deep to intersect kimberlite. The area of 500m x 1000 meters x 2.5metes thick implies ore tonnage of 3.2mil tons. Obviously the 400 meters if stepped back., and delineated with furthur holes say spaced 200 meters along the run of the 1000 meters would then indicate the dyke is 1000m x 1000m and double potential tonnage compared to the initial 500mx1000m area. Most people think of a dyke such as Rex as near verical may 1 meter wide., but consistant in grade and gem quality to 1000 meters deep. This is a S. African dyke rotated nearly horizontal. I feel the same may hold true with Winspears dyke., good grade and uniform gem quality thru out the system. Whatever we have., several things are apparent. The deposit should prove easily mined., and no space constraints as with S. African mines. Tonnage extraction., can be done very quickly with minimal large upfront expenditures. The other advantage data to date suggest high gem quality 87%., high proportion of colored stones., which if large will be valued individually and command valuations unlike any previous diamond deposit in recorded history. A 5 mil ton deposit easily mined., with those characteristics could be valued as little as 600mil up to several billion., and that is a fact. Sincerely George J. Tromp
