Rick, GNE is Genentech.<g> I know you know, I know, you know. Also was looking for the Vector Fund, on EDGAR, after getting the 10 K and annual report. I struck out on all the indicated variations. Perhaps they don't own over 5% of any company so are not required to file 13 Ds'

I also thought the footnotes on the riskless collars or no cost collars created when GNE takes an equity position in a junior partner was instructive. It certainly allows a major pharma or a co. like GNE to provide equity capital with "assurance" that the equity stake will be valued at or near the original price at the time it was purchase.

It made me have even more interest in the Vector Fund since I think these would be a different type of co which GNE was taking the investment risk. Appreciate anything you turn up in relation to the portfolio, of this, "later stage," Vector Fund. Is Vector at all related to the broker/dealer that appears to be used by BVF?
