Interesting post...one that I knew would be coming..and there will be more. So, why do you believe layer 3 switches will be 1/10 the price of routers. Also, where do you believe layer 3 switches will be installed? Certainly not at network endpoints...customer premises. A good amount of Cisco revenue's from from this source. Additionally, why don't you believe that Cisco can't compete in the layer 3 switching space? What about migration from current routed networks, wouldn't existing users want to maintain this integrity which would of course mean migration to a Cisco layer 3 switch...no?

Anyway, interesting post, but you need to back up your "flyer" with facts. Then we can chat... ;)
