RE: Juniper Networks. Juniper is Cisco's/Sun's and even one of ASND's top talent. They jumped ship for something more than money. These guys already have that...hell the combined CSCO shares held by the Juniper founders is huge. I really believe that Cisco has lost focus on the core networking product line in favor for a more diverse product offering (read non-specialized) that includes partnering with the likes of MSFT and exploring more software-centric offerings such as enterprise manegement of desktops and security health. Voice transport is also key here. But I don't think CSCO is really taking Juniper seriously at the time
