steve:

Inasmuch as you are a guide to a significant degree here at SI and among your customers, I wonder if you would consider (or are allowed) to open an account at Datek (and other, perhaps) with a little money and test it for yourself.

Your statements regarding Yamner's value in execution would then carry all the more weight - or ........

In any case, combining your knowledge with a customer view of Datek et al would be interesting.

>>>I would be curious what kind of executions times people experience using various online services.<<<

Steve,

I have been using Suretrade but am in the process of moving to a new broker. I've got the packet from Datek but have been hesitant in signing up due to reports of Datek "being down" on #daytraders channel. I am also looking at MB Trader as well as Live Trade.

Suretrade has been taking approx. 5 min to even get the trade through to them. Then I'm looking at approx another 5-10 min before execution. Very frustrating for me trying to "daytrade".

On the plus side, they've always have had the stocks available for shorting when I've gone that route whereas other brokers have been reported to not have.

Hope this information is of some use to you. I really appreciate all your posts here on SI. They've been a tremendous help to me.

Barney

TO ALL:

My coworker just completed a trade with Steve at Yamner.
Stock was CYBG yesterday. Scott, had just opened an account
with Yamner and bot CYBG at 13 or so.
Scott placed a GTC order to sell at 14 1/8.

The folks at Yamner are for real!!! We checked cybg intraday and
the high was 14 1/8 Scott and I though they may have traded it
because he bot at the bid. Well, CYBG wakes up and runs to
17 1/8.

What did the folks at Yamner do??

You may expect that the order went off at 14 1/8 NOPE!!

They held the order and sold into the close for Scott making him
and extra 3 points over his GTC order. THAT"S how it's supposed to
be done.

So all you on-line guys tell your computer to make those kind
of decisions.

I don't mean to be coy but I noticed a post over a year ago where
Steve invited someone to visit their firm for a few days. This
caught my interest and since I've been following Steve's posts.

Now, I'm going to get my applications and transfers filled out
and get the "edge" with the folks and yamner.

PS this post was unsolicited.
