My concern is that they have the talent to keep all these businesses organized and profitable.

As a Compucom customer in the past, I found that it was a place to get a good price on a Compaq server configured as specified. They had sales "teams" that didn't really know what was going on. Their tech people were not really confidence inspiring.

Until they generate some decent revenues from the service business, I feel they will meet of fall slightly short of the performance of their chief suppliers like CPQ, HWP, COMS and others, all who have fallen short of expectations recently.

Still hoping though...

Robert, I listened to Compucom conference call this morning and found it very interesting. The quarter numbers weren't good again and I am losing my patience, but the conference call was very positive. Ed Anderson was calling for growth of 20 to 25 percent for the hardware sales and 30% if I heard him correctly for service for the year. This included the recent acquistions announced. He also stated backlog doubled since December and was up even more during April. He was predicting this quarter might be abnormally high due to Compaq pricing discounts. If you are anyone else get to listen to the call, I would appreciate your opinions. The replay number is 1-800-642-1687 id#83927.
