Rowan makes no mention of it. Votive artifacts are assumed as there can be no ceremonies connected with any sculpture or implements. The Druids were post-celtic dominance, a cult who had incidentally nothing to do with building Stonehenge, nor understood it agrarian purpose. (Understanding Stonehenge, G. Durrel)

The Isles always did give rise to extremes of behaviour. Perhaps it precludes some change in social constructs or a time of creative drug induced hysteria. Perhaps people will take to forming long term relationships with the opposite sex in small groups in tiny self built habitations and taking oral doses of liquid intoxicants at regular intervals in the company of strangers in chanting groups while they view strong men wearing colourful clothing wrestle in dirt over possession of a sacred object made from the skin of a pig.

One shudders, but society may be headed that way.
