Kent,

I have been trying to assess the best of the lot. From the group, starting at any moment in time, there are going to be some that do very well and some that will fall back. Once in 1995 and then again in 1997, the market for the semi-equips was so good this "rule" went out the window. During these periods, almost all stocks made money - just some a lot more than others.

In trying to assess a list of 10 from the 41 stocks in the group, I have to name the 5 that I presently own. These are CMOS, FSII, SFAM, SFLX and VECO.

Then I would name the following 5 - AFLX, AMAT, ASYT, PLAB and PRIA. Please keep in mind, this is one person's guess.

Right now I am trying to decide if I should commit more funds or wait for further retrenchment of the group. Assuming the time is now to invest more, I haven't decided where I would do it, but I would look first at the stocks above.
