APRIL 17, 1998: VANCOUVER, CANADA International Panorama Resource Corp. is pleased to announce that a letter agreement has been signed with Noranda Inc. and Phelps Dodge Exploration Corporation to collaborate on the investigation and possible acquisition of the Sodimico mining concessions in the copperbelt of the Democratic Republic of Congo. The companies have commenced initial investigations of the concessions and, upon an award of a contract allowing the group to explore one or several concessions, the parties may enter into a formal agreement for the further exploration and potential development of such concessions. International Panorama will retain a 5% net profits interest plus a 10% working interest in the joint venture to be formed and which will hold such concessions, in the event of such contract being awarded.
