Inspired by a post by Svejk on Bill Wexler's "2000 Date-Change Problem: Scam, Hype, Hoax, Fraud" thread (#reply-4037039), I did a quick check of the performance of 39 Y2K stocks that I track (CMND was excluded because it just IPO'd) over the last 50 weeks (the closest round number SI's charts allow, and approximately when Bill began his thread). The results were conclusive, 28 of the 39 stocks either held their value or went up. In fact, combined, the group averaged a whopping 92% gain.
