Thank You Shane!!!

I am very happy to hear that I am not alone on this one. We also recently upgraded to NT at my office. It is a fiasco as far as I am concerned. We are experiencing many similar problems to you as well as significant down time. All for no value added features as far as productivity on my floor is concerned (but plenty of one time expenses). Similarly, although I like Windows 95, I see no real improvement in the product vs Windows 3.1 that justifies the software expenditure and in some cases an additional hardware expenditure. It is nicer, but that's about it.

The Microsoft/Intel tag team has been selling corporate America a lot of nonsense. These types of productivity measurements are very difficult for management to measure. They are not sure whether their expenditures on constant upgrades are worth it yet. I can assure you the improved productivity does not exist for the most part. I am no more productive now than when I had a "dumb" IBM 3270 terminal on my desk 10 years ago.

There are areas of data processing where the gains are legit, but they are overstated by the Wall St. and the media in aggregate.
