The upcoming earnings reports (INTC, KLAC) may shed a bit of light into the murky future. FWIW, I wouldn't count on anything in this earnings report or next that alleviates the uncertainty. The companies, having just been burned, are likely to be conservative, and to admit to less than they actually know. In addition, there is still substantial macro-economic uncertainty (Korea, Japan, ...), which will cause the SEMI customers to be jerking the SEMI companies around. Clark
