I found it hilarious. While folks are focusing on the TAVA aspect of the Fortune article, I don't believe enough attention is being placed on the problems that the larger manufacturing corporations are facing.

TAVA simply doesn't have the staff to service every client. Those left to their own devices will suffer.

However, it is comforting to know that their is more work to do that resouces available. That is called "Job Security". And since GM's CIO mentions how they have found tremendous inefficiencies on their manufacturing floor, I see lots of work in the Y2K aftermath for TAVA and others.

Greater efficiencies of production/operation is the silver lining that lies beyond 2000.
