I'm still learning TA, and I'm not familiar with the term, "FUD".
FUD is a type of message that an individual or institution prints in a public forum.
FUD: "Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt"

How can you use TA to guide your decisions right before earnings?
I use TA before earnings just as I would any other time....with discipline. INTC has warned already....and IMO the price has reflected this. I see little downside risk in holding through earnings. INTC has a good record in keeping the shareholders informed of weakness before it becomes an earnings surprise. If I were a short term trader Wednesday would have been a superb day to buy. I expect the stock to rally on earnings day all the way to close. Recent TA had a few bullish points (something that INTC has not had in the recent past)....so I bought. I have stops at resistance and expect little downside risk when sticking to a disciplined trade.

Isn't this the time to expect an abrupt discontinuity in the pattern?
Let's hope so...the current pattern is down. ;-)
