Like I said, even funnier are those who think a thread will move a market. Jenna's post was to chastise someone hyping stockrumors.com, and she was tongue in cheek saying that they 'may get their picks...' from a free site - even this one. But that site doesn't move the market, nor do we. In the scheme of things, this is a valuable source of information, but is inconsequential in terms of the total market.

I have seen some fund managers wield some weight, and some reactions to news sites, and even some of thos you mentioned have an affect on a stock or two. And the best thing to do then is not to buy the stock, but to prepare to short it whn the herd mentality causes a jump. But that is very different from moving a market - and I am talking about something much larger than a stock or two.

I would even offer that to suggest that is irresponsible and naive. But I think you may have misinterpreted my comment as applying to a particular stock's action on a given day. Sorry for any confusion I may have caused.
