FYI, from another forum

In today's Interactive Journal

"Shares in makers of semiconductors plunged on reports that U.S. semiconductor maker Micron Technology will file a formal complaint with U.S. trade officials that Taiwan companies are dumping dynamic random access memory (DRAM) chips in the U.S. market.

The new allegations come just weeks after Micron's successful suit against Taiwan producers for dumping static random access memory chips which resulted in the U.S. government levying punitive anti-dumping tariffs against Winbond Electronics, United Microelectronics and other Taiwan chipmakers.

Analysts say the DRAM dumping charges could hurt Taiwan companies more than the SRAM case because a higher percentage of Taiwan chipmakers' exports are of DRAM chips."
