Just saw my first LS-120 Superdisc TV commercial. Really badly done Claymation. I have a friend who has done such method of animation for USA Network, Wendy's, and a host of other big jobs. He could have done a much better job. However, I do remember the "no more need for bulky add-ons" tag line (referring to Zip drives)

One thing is for sure, Sony will roll out a carpet bombing ad campign right off the bat for HiFi.

Excuse me, but its my IDE Zip thats toast. If and when the sparq toasts I'll let you know. My post was simply to substantiate through personal experience the IOM reliability issues. I don't own stock in IOM or SYQT. I realize that the large installed base of IOM is to its advantage. My point is that for people like me, who are looking for a low cost solution for back-up (without the need to share data with others) the sparq was the most reasonable choice. I no longer need to swap out 100mb disks when doing a back-up. Do I think Syqt will capture the market--no, do I like their product--yes. By the way, for what its worth, those few times I used to use my zip to tranfer 20mb worth of files to work I stopped doing. It was easier to email the file. (Yes, I have an ISDN connection, and more and more people will have high speed connections at which point emailing 100mb will become realistic) I'm not here to trash IOM, I just think there needs to be more objectivity on this board!
