Hello all,

Of course I know that you are very familiar with SPDRs and all that, Berney. Because so many of the dudes here are international, and for the benefit of any lurkers who are crazy enough to spend their time reading the postings in this sandbox, I posted the info about SPY and WEBs here.

This lurker thanks you! :-) Why do I lurk? I lurk to learn... I am currently focused on using LEAPS for leverage on companies like (MSFT, INTC, CSCO, LU, CPQ, & SEG). I've been following this little sandbox for the past week or so.

Thanks for posting the info,

chris

Steve, Re: Night Owls

One of my clients said to me a couple of years ago: "Don't you know the early bird gets the worm." I responded, "Yup, and I'm a worm, and want to stay underground until all the birds are gone."

I've vowed to become a day-trader (ala IT) in a couple of weeks and change my schedule. We'll see?

You still didn't tell me how you came up with the intl allocation scheme.

As to Avnet, I'll come back to you in a little while. It was part of a model portfolio a couple of years ago and hurt the performance. It was investing in the future don't you know! Great for the long term, but the capital expenditures hurt the short term stock performance! However, I'm equally interested to see where it is today.

Berney's Model Portfolio (created 11/21) is doing pretty good. The 15 stocks are up 26.4% compared to the S&P up 15.3%. I'm now working on creating a new Model portfolio for the next six months. The pickings are getting slim.

Berney

Steve, In my FA scoring system AVT gets a "5". I don't consider anything with less than a "7" for a long-term investment. Further, my TA says down.
