If these mergers were happening at bottom of market I think it would
be great..these financial mergers are happening at top of market..
unless they know we are near a top and are merging to insure their
survival for next bull market..
insurance rates are probably going up..the US market is way overvalued..brokerages will probably start suffering soon...most
people have already refinanced their mortages..most people are alreay extended on their credit cards...more people will start getting layoffs again..less competition fees will go up..
more discretionary money eaten..
this will put more pressure on view towards troubled Japanese banks..
Even if the mergers succeed..somehow I don't think it matters :>
except to add fuel to the bubble in a much speedier way
