Hi Bruce,

I have often wondered what "1 year of on site support" really means to a private, non-commercial, customer. Looks like it may be more of a sales gimmick. Sounds like they send out a minimally trained individual to replace parts. Do you really want this guy messing with your computer? Does he check the fix out? Or is this you responsibility too, and than to get back on the phone with customer service it the fix screwed things up worse than before. How do they deal with other programs that you have added, which were not part of the original buy?

Bruce, thanks for reply. I got your email too and as I said, I am staying with Compaq as I have for last several years- i am on 4th or 5th Compaq now, counting office and laptop computers.

Al
