Osicom (FIBR) has WDM and some other network technology that might be of interest to Ascend.

Stimp, regarding WDM, are there any smaller players out there perhaps with great
technology, but no sales or marketing clout? I can't imagine ASND trying to play
catchup at this point, to CIEN and LU. An acquisition perhaps?

Perhaps. Or some kind of technology partnership. Who knows?
