Barb, How does a shorter select the stock he attacks? A true fraud is optimal, as BRE-X showed. It seems to me to be like TA, a herd phenomenon. A headline grabbing shorter can tempt many waverers to sell, even more if they have computer triggers, and get sold willy nilly, and the stampede is on, unless the whole exchange falls and the anti computer trading rules are activated. I expect a stock on a cusp like KRY, where good news=$40+ and bad news =$4 can be made to oscillate more than a stable stock. Asensio can feed good and bad toexacerbate the already unstable activity and knowing when he is going to attack he can be ready to milk the hystersis of the price swings. So money can be made with Asensio as long as you are the same side as he is. Does he give advance warnings to you and viper, et al, to allow you to position yourself? Bill
