DSO's remain the main question mark for Institutional Investors.
The question of the long period of DSO's (Days Sales Outstanding) which is a method of tracking the amount of time it takes to be paid for a company's product or service, has continued to worry the larger institutions. They would like for this number to be decreased dramatically.
The need for IMNT to put a credit facility in place to handle this issue is imperative. Once they do, the earnings figures will be much more predictable. And that's what the management seems to have been striving towards with their objective of increasing the order backlog every quarter. The company has stated that they wanted to have a credit facility in place and I am hearing that they may have an announcement regarding this issue with their earnings next week.
Another HUGE benefit of having this credit facility in place will be the shortened sales cycle. A hospital would be able to finance the purchase over a three year period instead of one. And because the hospitals generally have good credit to begin with, the interest charged by the credit facility won't be obtrusive to the sale. It would be a winning situation for the hospital, IMNT, the credit facility, and shareholders alike. It is my contention that if the credit facility were to be one of the larger credit providers, then the stock would be viewed as a much more attractive investment right now, regardless of the quarter's earnings figures.
I hope this answers the question I was e-mailed regarding the DSO's and credit facility. Technical Analysis Point and Figure chart gave a buy signal today when the stock reached 16 1/2, for what it's worth. <G>
Good Luck to All. R..
