That is correct. By watching the bid/ask size you can get a good indication
of the direction of a stock. For example, if there are a lot of buys
they will have a small ask size since they don't want to commit to sell
too many at that price without the option to raise it. The same works
on the opposite end. By looking at a combination of spread, and b/a sizes
you can get a pretty good picture as to what the supply and demand
is on the stock.
