McPeely/Twister: Just part of the MicroSlop manipulation engine. While I'm off topic, I noticed that the two CMP online publications that I look at regularly blacked-out the story about Microsoft's manipulation of the media. I emailed one of the editors of TechWire asking about this, and the response I got (from Chris Casatelli) was: " To report on how Microsoft is using the media -- which is NON-NEWS -- is one way to give them even more attention. Is that what you want? We only report the NEWS." I suppose the NY Times, LA Times, ABC News, etc must not know what they're doing, because they reported the story and gave it prominent coverage. CMP publications just lost credibility with me. Sorry for being off topic.
