Dr. Assadi,

So you believe AMD will do fine. Any reason? How about Intel?

Since you are happy to see these $500 computers, would you buy one for yourself after using that Alpha machine (very fast) of yours? How useful would a $500 computer be?

It is very confusing to me that you are investing not for money. That is a first to me. As a scientist working in a national laboratory, is investing just a way to relieve your stress? Does it work?

Is this a non-linear statistical analysis, born from your burning passion for science and education, any accurate? A few years ago, I tried to build a Kalman Filter to predict the stock trend. The project ended up in an embarrassing mess. If your model is good, would you mind to share it with us?

Have fun investing,
John.

Ps. I am sure you love your Alpha machine, but can you elaborate more? Is there anything you do not like? What is the speed? Memory size? Etc. And also what do you use it for? How well is that FX32 or something working out?
