OK, yes, that should be a good sign to see volume in the sector dwindling on a serious down day for the market. It should mean most of the weak hands at these levels have been shaken out. It could also mean that investors are waiting for earnings news.

If it weren't for general market nervousness, I would be buying with a fury here. But it's the kid in the candy store syndrome -- lots from which to choose. I'm seriously considering the land drillers. I'll wait for earnings to see if all the bad news is already in the prices. If I miss a point or so on the upside, no big deal.
