Have made an offer to all 3 of my kids...... I'll provide "semi major" assistance for the furtherance of their educations...... got one taker so far, and a serious consider, and a "can I substitute grandkids for me ".........GGGGG see, if it had been me...i would have said...will you pay for both me AND the grandkids.... I forsee this as a better opportunity than the market for future enhancement of financial return, in the long run. that is great that they can make decisions that are beneficial without having to consider the financial burden plus..... check your tax laws....education funds can be excluded from the gift and inheritance tax exemption...but I think they have to be payed directly to the source.
