Could one argue that the DOJ is trolling for Microsoft contributions to cover the debt of the Democratic Party and the Presidents Defense Fund. The Senate hearings were held to remind Microsoft that they must be diverse in their contributions.

Uh, those hearings were spearheaded by Orin Hatch, not exactly a supporter of either the Democratic Party nor our President.
