Jane, as usual, a post full of insight...I have finally learned after reading a post or two to just go on if the poster is of the ilk you describe. I don't read graystone, grace, carol, nor most of the other posters---so frankly, I don't know what they are saying---only by the answers you and a few other believers give do I get the "gist" of what they are saying.
I find that on SI, there are the genuine believers---you can spot them easily---then there are two to four weird "doctrineaire" people---that have disseminated a doctrine that is not embraced by the Dallas Theological Seminary's of the world---nor the Billy Graham's---yet they espouse it and so we have a war-zone between what I call the main-line Bible believing believers versus the extreme doctrineaire faction.
A phrase coined by politicans and used often is the phrase mean-spirited---that takes place often on this thread unfortunately because our old man(carnality-flesh) like cream comes rising to the top too often---I have been apalled at some postings and have recently been the recipient of a personal attack on the personal message board by one of these.
Even this post will come under scrutiny and I will be attacked. But the scripture 'sez to "Count it all joy when you fall into various trials and tribulations, knowing that the trying of your faith works patience, but let patience have her perfect work, that you may be perfect and entire, lacking nothing." (Since I don't have all of your Bible software, the scripture above is from memory, so I may not have it letter perfect). Also, Jane we are to bless those that curse us and dispitefully use us---in other words---I (we?) need to be more selective and hit the "next" button more often.
Wishing you a sensationally splendid week.
