I've always been a fan of both NEM (Newmont Mining) and Precious Metals Sector funds, like Fidelity's.

Mining seems a bit more supply-driven than the commodity itself. Buffet's into silver, though, as most of you know.

My precious metals mutual fund holdings have gone down some because of the Asian crisis and governments selling. However, the analysts' outlook on gold do not include Y2k ramifications. Therefore, I'm holding.
