You're right about this one, dulane. I think the doom and gloom research team embedded cyclamate pellets in the rats' bladders to see what extreme exposure would do. Cyclamates may be safer than saccharin for all we know, but saccharin wasn't completely banned from USA market.

Abbott Labs has been trying to get cyclamates back in the USA market for quite a while. I think it is still being consumed in a lot of foreign markets. The sucralose stuff that JNJ has developed is not without its own unique potential risks.
