More buyers than sellers -g-. Sorry, I couldn't resist. Who knows, I don't read much into a day or any short-term price movements. Possibly someone is pumping and dumping, but this is a WAG. They (AMAT and KLAC) do tend to trade in tandem, but not everyday. You already know this.

I bought KLAC today because the TA looked good to me. Although it's clear that semiconductors could move down from here, I found this comment, buried deep in the 13 April IBD article INDICATORS FLASH SOME WARNINGS on p. A3 interesting: >> As an example, Anderson says he sees "early signs of some distribution" in financial stocks, which have enjoyed a long run-up. Accumulation may be occurring in semiconductor stocks. << KLAC has a good looking balance sheet and enough weight on to weather a further downturn, IMHO.
