Michael, I am really curious as to where you would draw the line on parents hitting their children and teenagers. Are you saying that parents have the right to beat their children? To leave welts and bruises?

Where does you idea that parents have absolute rights over their children come from? Do you think the society has any right to protect its children, or to set minimal standards for the way their parents treat them?
