Mr. Bergman....I don't know the answers to most of the questions....all I can share is what little I have learned....I think if anyone ever figured out most of the factors that influence stock prices and could predict their impact accurately, then that person would become very wealthy. I have not researched MTH but understand that it is a good company....why the price does not reflect a higher multiple of P/E, I can't say...it could be that the building industry is perceived to be more cyclical than technology...or it could be any number of other reasons. I wonder this very thing myself for some of the stocks that I buy...however, if I take a long term view and do my due diligence thoroughly before investing, I have taught myself to be patient and have found that that patience has been rewarded more times than not...the key for me is to buy only those stocks that I am comfortable owning if they drop 50% in value before going up. I will look at FAIR when I get a chance....I am fully invested right now, but am always on the watch for future investments.
