TD and all: with the tiny float (assuminght MMs just hold), IMO price manipulation will happen even with the options issue were not a problem. IMO a mutual fund may have written the calls to make some money on the stock or have the stock taken away from them without depressing the share price. How about the put writers? These would also have an interest in seeing the price go higher.

With most of the April calls being at a strike price of 30, that would tend to draw the price towards 30 by Friday.

Edit: Could have been stock holders writing covered calls.
