Ed,

I've used the Tempest a fair amount and it is not the exact same as a normal phone call. However, I've never had any problems with clarity. The only thing I've ever noticed is that in between when no one is speaking it is DEAD silent. Like the connection was lost. That is probably typical of digital as silence is silent. After a couple of minutes you don't even notice it any more. The problems they had could have been as simple as a bad connection from the DVG to the phones. We've all had bad connections on regular phone calls so we'll see.

Still very LONG of FTEL,

Bob

RE: Think Tank

"The Silicon Valley World
Internet Center announces the successful completion of its third
think tank session. Sponsored by Deutsche Telekom, Sun
Microsystems, and Cisco Systems, the Center continues its role as
a global center for investigating critical issues of the information
revolution. "Our think tank sessions draw from the wealth of
intellectual capital in Silicon Valley, and concentrate on business
models and best practices in the Internet space," said Dr. Susan
Duggan, CEO of the Center. "Implementation strategies and
technologies are presented in a supporting role."

Sponsored by Deutsche Telekom!!!!! The question of the day is, "Where was Vocaltech?" Deutsches IP partner.
