_scott You asked: [[Matt, this amateur has noticed that other IAIC experts (e.g., Elliot, Gary, Joe (cage), and maybe even Ted) often ask for your opinion on specific news and future predictions about IAIC related to its product. I'm interested in knowing how & why are you so knowledgeable ? ]] I have worked in the computer & communications field since 1977, and as a System Engineer for professional services companies since '88. I have achieved the dubious luck of climbing the whole technical career ladder, and have served as Principal Engineer & Chief Scientist among other things at various professional services firms. For a short period of time I consulted to IAI, with talk of my staying as full time. As a result I know something about the product, (but to be precise I have no actual inside information, and I have NEVER served as an officer or senior manager of IAI or any other company excluding my own consulting business). (Just to be crystal clear.) I am not an expert on the market, but I know something about this area of business and technology. I would say that if anyone here defers to me, it is in areas where I, by the twists of career, may happen to have a few of the facts that those not in the industry would be unclear on. TED and others here are in the professional services business, and I think I respect them as well. Professional courtesy for fellow veterans runs strong in professional services and software. In our business the badges change but the names stay the same. [[Also, of all the Y2K stocks out there, you guys really seem to focus specifically on IAIC. I realize that at least a short term splash should be had when IAIC a) gets its national NASDAQ listing, b) gets exposure at CA's y2k show c) beats earnings predictions (btw, when are they to be posted ?)]] The other Y2K stocks have less glowing prospects, by a huge margin, IMO. Who else has shrink wrapped translators with a full distribution, sales and support network? Nobody but IAI, I think. [[But do you really believe that IAIC is going to make a bigger splash than the others longer term ? If so, why ?]] 1) Small market cap. 2) High predicted revenues. 3) No BS in the story. 4) Good management. 5) Better product. 6) A high rate of contract signings. 7) CA agreement and strong distribution and sales. ..... more mentioned elsewhere. As I say, I understand the business, however I defer to Gary, TED and others on understanding the market quite readily. There are some true market savvy players here, from what I can tell. I honestly feel lucky to have met them. ..........Matt
