Another long term worry is this. I suspect the majority
of Yahoo hits occur during business hours from business
domains. Suppose for example, Compaq made a shocking
announcement that profits for the next quarter would
be approximately zero. And that Compaq management, after
noting a bazillion Yahoo hits, decided to block that site.
And a similar situation occurred at other companies. Yahoo
is OK when your are getting paid to visit, but if Yahoo
had to rely on people visiting on their own time, the
amazing profit might be smaller. Just a thought..

Ever hear the saying, "the only things people are willing to pay for on the internet are Pornography and the Wall Street Journal"?

Actually, I'm thinking of buying some Playboy stock (PLA) because they seem to be getting their web presence in order.

I have no problem with Pornography. Indeed, I endorse it! Wanna see the home video library I star in? No, just kidding ;)
