><>...Bob you told Christine...><>

You have made the people who practice and
approve of the practice of sin to sound like the sensible ones.

Can't quite put my finger on it at the moment, but it is written isn't it?
In latter times they will call that which is evil good, and that which is good evil.

Have a good evening
Shalom...><>

Bob,
<<What we have today is a society increasing it's distance from God and "calling evil good" which is one of the signs of the last days before Jesus's return.>>

I wholeheartedly agree with that.

Dear Bob:

<<What we have today is a society increasing it's distance from God and "calling evil good" which is one of the signs of the last days before Jesus's return.>>

Good observation, Bob, and fully supported by Scripture:

II Th 2:8-12
8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming.
9 The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with the work of Satan displayed in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders,
10 and in every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.
11 For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie
12 and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.

In Christ, Tom

Bob,
Amen to this statement!

"That is a great effort at double speak. You have made the people who practice and approve of the practice of sin to sound like the sensible ones. Actually God changes not and what He said was evil thousands of years ago is still evil today. What we have today is a society increasing it's distance from God and "calling evil good" which is one of the signs of the last days before Jesus's return."

"Bob"

Bob it is evident that Satan is an author of confusion and he will use God's Word changing just enough of it to make it sound truthful to the unlearned. This is why we must study the Word of God so that we are not pulled the wrong way by false prophets" that seem to abound here on the Internet.
God bless you,
James

Bob,

More of the Sword of the Word for Christine, Graystone, et al:

I Cor. 1:19-29 (NIV)
19 For it is written: "I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate.",
20 Where is the wise man? Where is the scholar? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?
21 For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe.
22 Jews demand miraculous signs and Greeks look for wisdom,
23 but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles,
24 but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.
25 For the foolishness of God is wiser than man's wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man's strength.
26 Brothers, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth.
27 But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong.
28 He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things--and the things that are not--to nullify the things that are,
29 so that no one may boast before him.

May God Bless You and all other brothers and sisters in Christ on this thread.

Ray

Bob, sorry, but I don't agree with your response to my post, because it seems like a smear of some sort. I cited specific passages from the Bible, actual quotations, on things that were considered sinful or forbidden when they were written, but are simply amusing anachronisms now. They were in a format where you could easily look them up.

Are you saying these things, all of them ridiculous, are still sinful or forbidden? I think not. These have been dropped because they do not make sense today, and to call my post a great effort at double speak is mumbo jumbo on your part, not mine.

I mean, let's be logical here, and let a little light in once in awhile!!
