Brian,

VIA MVP3 is an excellent 100Mhz chipset. It has a unique feature to allow users to choose either 100Mhz or 66Mhz for RAM speed. Thus, users still could enjoy the speedy 100Mhz L2 cache speed while still using their 60ns EDO/FP RAM.

The box makers would love this features as they could get low cost RAM while offering their customers with fast 100Mhz bus speed systems.

Power to the people! This world would be better off without Intel.

Brian, $29.00 for a 100mhz motherboard must be the result of the Asian crisis effects or components parts cost. this is good news for AMD.
